This opportunity is exclusively for Champaign County residents, with preference given to individuals residing in underserved areas. If you’re under-employed and ready to embark on a fulfilling career path, this program is for you. Applicants must be 18 years or older at the time of class and must undergo a medical test to ensure readiness for the physical demands of the work. Join us for the East Central Illinois Building & Construction Trades Council Pre-Apprenticeship Program, a dynamic 10-week journey designed to kickstart your career in the building and construction trades! Held two nights per week for 4 hours each and on Saturdays, this program offers flexibility to accommodate your schedule. As a participant, you’ll receive a stipend for your time, and if transportation is a concern, we’ve got you covered with assistance.
During the program, you’ll delve into basic skills essential for success in the industry and gain invaluable insights into the 19 different apprenticeships available through the East Central Illinois Building & Construction Trades Council. Here, there are no tests required to apply for the program, however, space is limited, so early registration is encouraged.
